Assistant Manager – Supplier Relationship Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Supplier Relationship Management will support the implementation of the SRM strategic agenda for a flagship giga‑project under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The role focuses on building strong supplier partnerships, ensuring up‑to‑date documentation, and providing intelligence to internal stakeholders while tracking performance across all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to align with business objectives and service‑level expectations.
• Scout the market to identify reputable partners for major bids and tenders.
• Support the SRM Manager and Director in organizing meetings and engagements with key suppliers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers, ensuring effective communication and timely issue resolution.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs such as quality, delivery, compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align supplier capabilities with project goals.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations and risk assessments, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to support seamless project execution.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and sustainability goals.
• Maintain accurate and current supplier records and documentation.
• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential new vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in vendor or supplier management.
• Proven ability to manage supplier performance, contracts, and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring KPIs and driving improvements.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Leadership experience, including mentoring junior team members.
