Assistant Professor of Physics (Full-Time)

About the role

Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Physics to teach undergraduate courses such as Introductory Physics and Physics for Engineers I & II during the Fall and Spring semesters, with optional Summer teaching. The role also includes academic advising, curriculum development, student assessment, office-hour support and participation in university service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures, labs and tutorials for physics courses.
• Design, develop and continuously improve physics curricula and learning materials.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback and maintain academic records.
• Participate in departmental and college governance, committees and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor and advise students, fostering professional and academic growth.
• Promote an inclusive, collaborative environment aligned with the university’s values.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Physics from a Western university (minimum 30 semester hours beyond the master’s level).
• At least two years of college-level teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to teach effectively in English.
• For associate/full-professor candidates, a promotion letter from the previous institution.
• Demonstrated scholarly activity and commitment to professional development in physics.
