Bakery Sous Chef

About the role

The Bakery Sous Chef oversees the daily bakery production, ensuring quality, hygiene and timely delivery of baked goods. This role involves planning, organizing and researching new bakery products while supporting the Brand Manager and Regional Bakery Chef.

Key responsibilities

• Receive bakery goods, verify specifications, store appropriately and stock the bakery station.
• Supervise bakery production to meet quality, time, hygiene, cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Prepare and maintain the bakery display section according to Brand Manager instructions.
• Assist in preparing and cooking bakery items in line with specifications set by the Regional Bakery Chef.
• Implement hygienic procedures, follow health and safety regulations and report any discrepancies.
• Train and supervise team members on bakery responsibilities and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• Plan and assign tasks, set deadlines, monitor results and quality, and communicate team needs to management.

Required profile

• Technical Degree in Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management.
• 2‑3 years of experience in food & beverage operations.
• Fluency in English.
