BIM Coordination Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordination Engineer to support large‑scale civil and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. You will work with multidisciplinary contractor models, ensure compliance with project information requirements, and drive the BIM implementation process from design through as‑built documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate contractor LOD 400 BIM models and LOD 500 as‑built documentation against the Employer Information Requirements (EIR) and the approved BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Assemble architecture, structure, MEP, utilities and infrastructure models into master federated models using Autodesk Navisworks.
• Run and document formal BIM coordination meetings to resolve multi‑trade spatial clashes before site execution.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to address coordination issues and support model development.
• Administer the project’s Common Data Environment (CDE) and monitor stakeholder engagement throughout the BIM lifecycle.
• Verify 4D planning and construction sequence simulations to identify structural or logistical conflicts.
• Manage external engagements required to deliver the BIM strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of design experience in civil engineering/infrastructure.
• At least 2 years of experience working in the GCC region.
• Professional memberships or chartered status relevant to the discipline.
• Proven experience in consultant environments on buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels and other infrastructure projects.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
