BMC Helix Administrator (Remote)

About the role

As a BMC Helix Administrator you will be responsible for the operation and optimisation of the Helix Core environments at Müller's Solutions. Working remotely, you will collaborate with development teams to ensure reliable, high-performance version-control and CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Helix Core server instances, including user accounts, repositories and permission settings.
• Design, implement and fine-tune branching, merging and release workflows within Helix.
• Monitor system health, perform performance checks and ensure high availability.
• Partner with developers to promote best practices for version control and code integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Helix-related incidents, providing timely support to end-users.
• Execute regular backups and develop disaster-recovery plans for repository data.
• Document configurations, processes and changes in accordance with company policies.
• Stay informed on Helix platform updates and recommend enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience administering Helix Core or comparable version-control systems.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant Helix certifications or training are a plus.

Required skills

• Helix Core administration.
• CI/CD tool integration.
• Scripting with Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Git and SVN.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
