Business Development Director

About the role

This senior position is aimed at a professional with extensive experience in drilling contractor or drilling services environments. The Business Development Director will shape market entry strategies, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth across the oilfield services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and penetrate new markets, establishing commercial relationships and strategic alliances.
• Lead and develop high‑performing commercial and business development teams.
• Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, P&L, and investment evaluation for commercial initiatives.
• Negotiate and oversee rig contracts, day‑rate structures, lease and mobilization agreements.
• Engage with clients, partners, investors, and executive leadership to ensure stakeholder alignment.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in drilling, oilfield services, or rig contracting.
• Strong knowledge of rig contracts, commercial structures, day rates, and lease arrangements.
• Proven track record of market expansion and revenue growth.
• Demonstrated leadership of commercial and business development teams.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
• Experience in the Saudi Arabian energy sector is highly preferred.
