Business Development Manager

About the role

upGrad International is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across Saudi Arabia. Based in Riyadh, you will identify new market opportunities, forge strategic partnerships and drive revenue for the region’s education platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sustainable growth.
• Identify, qualify and engage prospective corporate, educational and government clients through outreach, networking and market research.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
• Travel extensively across Riyadh and other Saudi cities to meet clients and secure partnerships.
• Conduct market analysis to uncover emerging trends and competitive insights.
• Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations and commercial agreements.
• Lead negotiations and manage the end‑to‑end partnership lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines and performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships or account management.
• Proven track record of meeting revenue targets and managing complex B2B relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Analytical, strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to relocate to Riyadh.
