Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will work within the Marketing & Business Development function for Norton Rose Fulbright’s Riyadh office, supporting the firm’s expansion strategy across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East. Reporting to the Senior BD Manager in Dubai, the role collaborates closely with local partners, the Head of the Riyadh office, and global MBD teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual business plans, budgets and campaign proposals for the Riyadh office.
• Oversee BD activities across practices, including pitch management, event ideation, marketing communications and client development.
• Project‑manage transactional and strategic bids, ensuring branding, pricing and content standards are met.
• Drive profile‑raising initiatives with communications and PR, manage client events, and maintain consistent messaging across all channels.
• Support key client programmes, conduct research on target clients and facilitate client feedback loops.

Required profile

• Bilingual in English and Arabic with an undergraduate degree in marketing, law or a related business discipline.
• Experience in a legal or professional services environment, demonstrating strong project‑management capabilities.
• High level of conscientiousness, leadership qualities and a client‑facing attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and translate commercial issues into BD opportunities.
