Business Development Manager – Sustainability (GCC)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the sales cycle for sustainability services across the GCC. You will work directly with a leading sustainability solutions provider, driving decarbonisation, ESG advisory, carbon project development and digital sustainability offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end sales process from lead generation to contract closure and onboarding.
• Identify and pursue opportunities in decarbonisation, ESG advisory, carbon accounting/offset projects and digital sustainability solutions.
• Build and nurture strategic client relationships and partnerships across priority sectors.
• Develop commercially sound proposals, price services to protect margins, and coordinate with technical teams for delivery.
• Represent the company at client meetings, industry events and public forums to increase visibility and pipeline.
• Maintain CRM data, track sales metrics and produce regular business development reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of experience, including 3 years in sustainability, climate or environmental advisory/consulting.
• Proven track record of closing commercial deals in decarbonisation, ESG or related sustainability services.
• Strong knowledge of decarbonisation approaches, ESG frameworks and regional (Saudi/GCC) as well as international regulatory trends.
• Commercial acumen to prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and manage margins.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline management.
• Experience integrating digital technology solutions into sustainability services.
