Business Development Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Officer who will combine data‑driven reporting with client‑facing activities. The role supports the BD Manager by building dashboards, preparing leadership presentations and helping to win new business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Business Intelligence dashboards and Excel‑based reports for senior leadership.
• Assist the BD Manager in achieving business development targets and implementing strategy.
• Maintain an accurate BD pipeline tracker, including project numbering and stage updates.
• Prepare and coordinate Pre‑Qualification Questionnaires and compile cross‑departmental evidence packs for compliance submissions.
• Conduct sector‑specific market intelligence on large‑scale projects and government‑backed clients.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions and client meetings.
• Draft first‑pass correspondence, CR registrations and proposal sections for review.
• Manage CRM data, lead tracking and meeting coordination.

Required profile

• Digitally native mindset with daily use of AI tools.
• High level of discretion handling sensitive commercial and governance data.
• Ability to work autonomously under the direction of a single BD Manager.
• Strong analytical instincts and professional presence for client‑facing situations.

Required skills

• Hands‑on fluency with AI tools.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and independent pipeline management.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data modelling, cleaning).
• PowerPoint expertise for executive‑level deck design.
• Experience building BI dashboards.
