Cardiology Registrar

About the role

The Cardiology Registrar delivers high‑quality, patient‑centred cardiovascular care under the supervision of a Consultant Cardiologist. This position combines clinical expertise, evidence‑based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration to assess, diagnose, manage, and follow‑up patients with a range of cardiac conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including histories, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic investigations.
• Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests to support accurate diagnosis.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans and adjust them as patients evolve.
• Document all clinical encounters promptly and accurately in the EMR system.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality‑assurance initiatives, and clinical audits.
• Escalate complex or high‑risk cases to the Consultant Cardiologist in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and preventive strategies.

Required profile

• Medical qualification with appropriate registration to practice cardiology.
• Demonstrated ability to work under supervision while making independent clinical decisions.
• Commitment to patient safety, continuous improvement, and professional development.
