About the role
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our IKEA store. The role involves handling transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, help locate items and provide advice or recommendations.
- Operate scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronic devices.
- Balance the cash register and generate reports for credit and debit sales.
- Accept payments, verify prices and quantities, and provide receipts to every customer.
- Process refunds, exchanges and resolve customer complaints.
- Bag or wrap purchases to ensure safe transport.
- Follow store procedures for coupons, gift cards and special item purchases.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Required profile
- High school diploma or higher degree.
- At least 1 year of experience in a cashier position.
- Familiarity with store policies and customer service standards.
Required skills
- POS system operation.
- Cash register operation.
- Scanner operation.
