About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our IKEA store. The role involves handling transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.

Key responsibilities

Welcome customers, answer questions, help locate items and provide advice or recommendations.
Operate scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronic devices.
Balance the cash register and generate reports for credit and debit sales.
Accept payments, verify prices and quantities, and provide receipts to every customer.
Process refunds, exchanges and resolve customer complaints.
Bag or wrap purchases to ensure safe transport.
Follow store procedures for coupons, gift cards and special item purchases.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Required profile

High school diploma or higher degree.
At least 1 year of experience in a cashier position.
Familiarity with store policies and customer service standards.

Required skills

POS system operation.
Cash register operation.
Scanner operation.
