Category Manager – Amazon Now SA

About the role

We are looking for a self‑starter to lead the launch and growth of a new grocery category within Amazon Now SA. You will own the end‑to‑end buying and sourcing strategy, build strong vendor relationships, and drive profitability while shaping a world‑class shopping experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the buying and sourcing strategy for a new grocery category.
• Build and manage relationships with external vendors, adding seasonal and long‑shelf‑life selection.
• Optimize pricing, manage category profitability, and continuously analyze key metrics.
• Lead negotiations and establish strategic partnership agreements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (marketing, legal, supply chain, operations) to ensure flawless execution.
• Develop SOPs for scaling the business and support the Category Leader on strategic initiatives.

• Strong business judgment and analytical acumen.
• Excellent written communication and concise documentation skills.
• Track record of successful project delivery, commercial negotiations, and relationship management.
• Leadership mindset with experience developing teams.
