Chief of Legal and GRC

About the role

The Chief of Legal and GRC leads the organization’s legal strategy while overseeing Governance, Risk and Compliance functions. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures the company operates within legal frameworks, mitigates risk, and upholds strong corporate governance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel on corporate matters, contracts, regulatory issues and strategic transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate legal agreements; manage external counsel and litigation.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise risk management (ERM) program, conduct risk assessments and report to the Board.
• Lead the corporate governance framework, support the Board and executive committees, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Oversee internal and external compliance programs, establish policies, conduct audits and lead investigations of violations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); Master’s or MBA is a plus.
• 14+ years of experience in legal, compliance or risk management leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal disputes and guide senior executives.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian regulatory environment.
