Client Development Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

AS&H Clifford Chance is seeking a Client Development Manager / Senior Manager in Riyadh to support the firm's growth in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the role drives client development initiatives, supports key client programmes, identifies growth opportunities and helps partners win and retain business. It also involves coaching and mentoring a team within the Client & Market Development function.

Key responsibilities

• Develop client development plans for priority clients, maintain client intelligence and support strategic client accounts and programmes
• Lead the preparation of pitches, proposals, EOIs, RFPs and panel submissions, and draft credentials and capability statements
• Manage submissions to legal directories such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and IFLR1000, and coordinate referee programmes
• Research clients, markets and competitors, produce briefing materials and track emerging opportunities in Saudi Arabia and the wider region
• Coordinate client events, roundtables and communications, and measure the return on investment of client-facing initiatives
• Mentor and coach junior members of the Client & Market Development team and share best practice

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in business development, marketing or communications, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment
• Significant experience running client development programmes and a strong track record managing pitches, proposals and tenders
• Experience preparing legal directory submissions and working with ranking organisations
• Excellent stakeholder management, commercial awareness and written communication skills
