Clinical Application Specialist - Point of Care & Blood Gas

About the role

The Clinical Application Specialist will provide end‑to‑end clinical, technical and application support for Radiometer point‑of‑care and blood‑gas solutions. Working across the full customer journey, the specialist will engage in pre‑sales activities, lead installations, conduct validation, train users and ensure successful post‑go‑live adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Support sales teams during customer meetings, product demonstrations, evaluations and trials, presenting clinical value and technical differentiation.
• Deliver structured training on product operation, maintenance, sampling, workflow usage and clinical interpretation, providing materials and validating user competency.
• Assist customers with installation verification, validation planning, protocol execution and documentation, obtaining sign‑off for system readiness.
• Respond promptly to application‑related inquiries, troubleshoot instrument, sampling, middleware and workflow issues, perform root‑cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with service, IT and business teams to ensure seamless implementation and high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Strong clinical and technical background with experience supporting medical device solutions across the customer lifecycle.
• Proven ability to conduct product training, validation activities and post‑implementation support.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with sales, service, IT and end‑users.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Radiometer Blood Gas Analyzers (ABL90 FLEX, ABL90 FLEX PLUS, ABL800).
• Familiarity with Transcutaneous Monitoring (TCM) and Immunoassay platforms.
• Experience with AQTSampling Devices and AQURE Middleware data‑management system.
