Electrical Engineer – Hospital Electrical Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage and maintain electrical systems within a hospital environment. The role involves ensuring reliable power supply to critical medical areas and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise operation and maintenance of HV/LV systems, generators, ATS, UPS, and IT isolated power systems.
• Plan and execute PPM activities and system shutdowns.
• Review technicians' work and CMMS work orders.
• Ensure continuity of power to critical medical zones such as OR and ICU.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Mandatory registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably with hospital electrical systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA 99, CBAHI, and JCI electrical‑safety standards.

Required skills

• Emergency power systems and generators.
• Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and UPS systems.
• IT Isolated Power Systems for OR/ICU.
• Nurse‑call systems.
• Medical equipment power distribution.
• Knowledge of NFPA 99, CBAHI, and JCI electrical‑safety requirements.
