Co-Founder & CFO (Equity‑Based) – Early‑Stage FinTech Startup

About the role

Ayo, an early‑stage Saudi fintech startup, is seeking a full‑time Co‑Founder & Chief Financial Officer to shape its financial strategy from the ground up. This equity‑based position will work closely with the CEO and CTO to build the finance function and drive the company toward launch and fundraising.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ayo’s financial operating model.
• Own cash‑flow management, runway planning, budgeting and capital allocation.
• Develop unit economics, transaction‑level profitability and portfolio performance models.
• Model credit losses, liquidity and downside scenarios.
• Lead fundraising preparation, valuation analysis and creation of investor materials.
• Structure economics of strategic and financial partnerships.
• Build treasury, reporting, controls and financial governance.
• Translate product, growth and operational decisions into financial impact.
• Collaborate with the CEO and CTO on company‑wide strategic decisions.
• Scale the finance function as the business grows.

Required profile

• Strong experience in fintech, consumer finance, lending/BNPL, treasury, structured finance, capital planning, portfolio finance or financial planning within a finance company.
• Proven ability to build financial models from scratch.
• Comfortable working in an early‑stage environment with incomplete information and rapidly shifting priorities.
• Strategic thinker who can execute independently, challenge assumptions and take full responsibility for the financial side of the business.
• Willingness to commit full‑time as a co‑founder, understand the risk of an equity‑only compensation until funding.
