Commercial Director

About the role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Commercial Director to lead its commercial management portfolio across Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for ensuring that engineering and consultancy projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations, financial targets and internal governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and enforce AtkinsRéalis rights and responsibilities across all KSA projects.
• Support Project Directors to achieve contractual outcomes and profit margins.
• Coordinate commercial appointments with internal business sectors and sub‑consultants.
• Develop and maintain commercial administration, change‑control, risk and variation registers.
• Build commercial competence within project management and design teams.
• Escalate and report claims against professional indemnity insurance.
• Conduct commercial reviews and audits of live projects.
• Monitor compliance with the Business Management System and Service Delivery Process.
• Review monthly financial reports, manage risk registers and convert contingency into margin.
• Liaise with finance to turn debt provisions into profit and guide billing to maximise cash flow.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc in engineering, quantity surveying or related discipline from a recognised western university.
• Professional membership (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, MCIPS, MCIArb).
• Minimum 15 years of experience with a global engineering or cost‑consulting firm.
• Proven track record in commercial leadership on large‑scale projects.
