Commercial Director – Saudi Arabia

About the role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Commercial Director to lead the commercial management of its project portfolio across Saudi Arabia. The role ensures projects meet contractual obligations, financial targets, and internal governance standards while supporting project delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and enforce AtkinsRéalis rights and responsibilities for all KSA projects.
• Support Project Directors to achieve contractual profit margins and financial objectives.
• Coordinate commercial appointments with internal business sectors and sub‑consultants.
• Develop and manage commercial administration, change control, risk and variation registers.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams, ensuring consistent billing and cash‑flow optimisation.
• Escalate and report claims against professional indemnity insurance.
• Conduct commercial reviews and audits of live projects.
• Monitor compliance with the Business Management System and Service Delivery Process.
• Influence risk management to convert contingency into margin.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc in engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent from a recognised western university.
• Professional membership (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, MCIPS, MCIArb).
• 15+ years of experience with a global engineering or cost‑consulting firm.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, sub‑contracts, design and site‑operations processes.
• Proven ability to prepare financial models and pricing proposals.
