Commercial Manager (Pre-Opening)

About the role

As a Commercial Manager you will shape the commercial strategy for a new hotel opening, driving revenue across all segments while delivering memorable guest experiences. You will work closely with General Managers, Finance and brand teams to ensure the property meets its top‑line and profit objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated commercial strategies across all revenue streams, including rooms, food & beverage, events, leisure and spa.
• Partner with General Managers and Finance to align commercial decisions with revenue, cost and profit targets.
• Lead pricing, rate strategy and demand forecasting, conducting regular business reviews to optimise revenue.
• Coordinate on‑property and regional sales, marketing, e‑commerce and public‑relations activities to drive brand positioning and demand.
• Monitor market trends and competitive landscape, adjusting strategies to maintain market share.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, operators, corporate teams and external partners.
• Develop, coach and retain a high‑performing commercial team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial management or revenue management within the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Leadership experience with a track record of building and motivating teams.

Required skills

• Revenue management practices (pricing, rate strategy, demand forecasting).
• Financial acumen to assess profitability and margin targets.
• Knowledge of sales, marketing and e‑commerce channels in hospitality.
