Commis 1 – Food & Beverage (Saudi Only)

About the role

We are seeking a Commis 1 to join the Food & Beverage team at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Riyadh. The role focuses on preparing special meals, maintaining food quality, and supporting kitchen operations in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
• Pull frozen items to thaw in refrigeration and maintain accurate food logs.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish and overall food quality.
• Monitor food quantity, inform the chef of excess items and communicate menu specials or out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching employees.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting objects up to 25 lb, and moving, pulling or pushing equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant food preparation experience.
• Technical, trade or vocational school education preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work effectively during busy periods and communicate clearly with team members.
• Commitment to quality, safety standards and guest service excellence.
