Commis Chef – Saudi Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Commis Chef specialized in Saudi cuisine to support our culinary team in Jeddah. The successful candidate will assist in preparing authentic Saudi dishes while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and production of Saudi dishes according to standard recipes.
• Prepare and organize ingredients and mise en place for daily operations.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie with kitchen activities.
• Ensure proper portioning, consistent food quality, and adherence to FIFO stock rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and collaborate with the culinary team during service periods.

Required profile

• Culinary Arts or related qualification (preferred).
• 1–2 years of culinary experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Saudi cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
