Consultant Maternal-Fetal Medicine - Qassim

About the role

This consultant position provides advanced maternal-fetal medicine services in Qassim, covering high-risk pregnancy management, fetal imaging, prenatal diagnostics and multidisciplinary care coordination. Care must be evidence-based and patient-centred, aligned with international MFM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead management of high-risk pregnancies, including maternal complications, fetal anomalies, multiple gestations and preterm birth risk
• Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging: anomaly scans, fetal echocardiography, Doppler studies and growth assessments
• Conduct prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis, CVS and fetal sampling when required
• Counsel families on fetal conditions, genetic risks and management pathways
• Collaborate with neonatology, genetics, radiology, anesthesia and other specialties, and help plan fetal therapy and intrauterine intervention referrals
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and follow-up of MFM cases, and contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety
• Supervise and mentor residents, fellows and sonographers; take part in on-call duties
• Take part in research, audits and continuous professional development

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent)
• Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Fellowship or sub-specialty certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from a recognised international institution
• Minimum 3-5 years of post-fellowship experience in MFM
• Experience in tertiary-level obstetric service and multidisciplinary care
