Consultant – Nephrology

About the role

Makkah Medical Center Hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant in Nephrology to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with kidney disease, overseeing dialysis operations, and supporting transplant care.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney disease.
• Lead the dialysis unit, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate pre‑ and post‑kidney transplant patient care with transplant teams.
• Participate in medical committees, quality‑improvement initiatives, and CME activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and EMR usage.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD from a recognized medical school.
• Valid Saudi Council for Health Specialties (SCFHS) registration as a Consultant in Internal Medicine – Nephrology.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine and an accredited Nephrology Fellowship.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia (transferable iqama for non‑Saudi applicants).
