About the role

The Consultant in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation provides comprehensive care to both in‑patient and out‑patient populations within NMC hospitals and clinics. The role demands adherence to evidence‑based medicine, professional ethics, and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations while leading the rehabilitation department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality medical treatment and compassionate care to patients across all settings.
• Conduct ward rounds, develop multidisciplinary treatment plans, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the specialty.
• Ensure compliance with CBHAI/JCIA standards, hospital by‑laws, and national health regulations.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, respond to emergencies, and provide specialist advice as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records while safeguarding confidentiality and privacy.
• Supervise junior medical staff and lead performance‑improvement initiatives for clinical and non‑clinical processes.
• Coordinate referrals to and from other facilities, ensuring continuity of care.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience in rehabilitation medicine.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage departmental quality plans.
• Familiarity with Saudi Ministry of Health laws, hospital by‑laws, and accreditation standards.
• Strong record‑keeping and communication skills.
