Consultant Psychiatrist (Arabic Speaker) – Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who is fluent in Arabic to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across both inpatient and outpatient settings while working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD and personality disorders.
• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide pharmacological treatment, psychotherapy, counseling and behavioral interventions as appropriate.
• Deliver crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care when needed.
• Collaborate with psychologists, neurologists, primary care physicians, social workers and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with Saudi healthcare regulations.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement projects, research and continuing medical education.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Board certification or fellowship in Psychiatry.
• Valid SCFHS consultant registration or eligibility.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post‑board consultant experience in psychiatry.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong expertise in adult psychiatry and mental‑health management.
