Consultant Sports Medicine (Part-Time)

About the role

Provide specialised sports medicine care on a part‑time, in‑person basis at the ICC Physical Clinic in Saudi Arabia. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal and exercise‑related conditions while ensuring continuity with the full‑time clinical team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive sports‑medicine consultations, including history taking, physical examination, imaging review and follow‑up planning during scheduled part‑time sessions.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based, individualized management plans covering non‑operative treatment, rehabilitation, exercise prescription and referrals when needed.
• Coordinate closely with full‑time clinicians, physiotherapists and orthopaedic specialists to maintain seamless patient care between sessions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) to support handover and regulatory compliance.
• Promote injury‑prevention, return‑to‑play assessments and population‑health initiatives in line with value‑based care principles.
• Participate in quality‑improvement activities, clinical audits and continuous professional development during part‑time hours.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Residency training in Family Medicine and board certification in Family Medicine.
• Fellowship certification in Sports Medicine and SCFHS registration as a Sports Medicine Consultant.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of clinical experience in sports‑medicine practice.
• Strong clinical judgment, analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently within limited part‑time clinic hours and coordinate care with full‑time colleagues.
