Contract Advisor – Contract Management Specialist

About the role

The Contract Advisor ensures that all contractual agreements are legally sound, beneficial to the organization, and aligned with project objectives. This role supports the client on the GIP project, handling contract drafting, negotiation, administration, and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate service agreements, procurement contracts, and sub‑contracts while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Oversee contract administration, including amendments, extensions, and renewals.
• Review and process change orders, negotiate with contractors, and manage related claims and disputes.
• Assess the impact of contract changes on scope, schedule, and budget, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships to secure favorable commercial terms and timely delivery.
• Identify contractual risks, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans.
• Conduct legal research to keep contracts aligned with current laws and regulations.
• Continuously improve contract management processes and report status to senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, business administration or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in contract management or legal studies are a plus.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in contract management, preferably within EPC, PMC or similar environments.
• Proven track record of negotiating and managing complex contracts.
