Customer Development Manager - Convenience

About the role

Mars is hiring a Customer Development Manager for its traditional trade business in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for achieving profitable sales growth for Mars business customers while maintaining strong relationships and delivering well-executed customer plans focused on revenue, growth, profit, product assortment, everyday shelving, merchandising, pricing, promotions and seasonal merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute solutions that meet customer objectives, category leadership and company profitability goals, including sales growth for seasonal placement and shelving, merchandising and pricing.
• Influence customers to adopt solutions through fact-based presentations that benefit both the customer and Mars.
• Complete new product launches with timely and effective execution to maximise customer impact.
• Execute agreed customer solutions with accurate, timely forecasting and detailed follow-through.
• Manage customer trade funds in line with internal and external requirements and improve their effectiveness.
• Provide customers with category information and recommendations for category growth, customer feedback and potential solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; a degree in Business Administration is preferred.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in sales and/or marketing within FMCG / CPG industries.
• Prior retail account management experience.
• Fluent understanding of forecasting, Nielsen and trade management systems.
• Availability to travel 10% of the time.
