About the role

The Customs Investigation Lead Specialist is responsible for end‑to‑end review and validation of complex seizure reports, ensuring legal soundness before escalation. The role conducts advanced evidence analysis, determines criminal liability and approves case outcomes for referral to the Public Prosecution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead review and validation of seizure reports, confirming completeness, accuracy and legal compliance.
• Conduct advanced analysis of documentary, physical and testimonial evidence to establish violations and intent.
• Determine and validate criminal liability, including multi‑party and organized‑crime involvement.
• Approve case outcomes and make final recommendations for referral to the Public Prosecution.
• Oversee the full investigation lifecycle from intake to referral, ensuring adherence to legal protocols and suspect rights.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to investigation teams and contribute to policy and procedure development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in customs, legal enforcement, regulatory compliance or investigations.
