Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join noon’s fast‑growing technology team. You will help secure our web and mobile platforms, embed security practices across the product lifecycle, and work closely with engineering and risk teams to protect our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop secure back‑end logic for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure secure integrations.
• Perform threat modeling for new products and features.
• Design and implement secure data models using relational databases.
• Write scalable, high‑quality code following secure coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and enhancing security solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in cybersecurity or related projects.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, attack vectors and best practices.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Python (server‑side) with secure coding practices.
• MySQL and relational database design.
• RESTful APIs and HTTP.
• Algorithms, data structures and system design.
• Threat modeling.
• DevOps/DevSecOps tools: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, security automation.
