Data Engineer

About the role

The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines that feed our INCORTA data warehouse. You will work closely with the Data Management Office, IT, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, DataSentinel, and ERWIN.
• Monitor and optimise ETL jobs for performance, reliability and scalability.
• Implement data quality and governance best practices, including validation, cleansing and transformation.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures, data quality issues and performance bottlenecks, documenting solutions.
• Participate in business meetings to gather requirements and produce technical specifications.
• Manage configuration, change control and versioning in a collaborative, scrum‑based environment.
• Support offshore teams and ensure smooth delivery of reports and dashboards.
• Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development or database management.
• Proven experience with data modelling, data warehousing concepts and SQL.
• Familiarity with big‑data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, OCI).
• Understanding of software engineering principles and version control systems.
