Data Protection and Privacy Senior Specialist

About the role

The Data Protection and Privacy Senior Specialist will lead ZATCA’s efforts to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with national data management standards. Working with minimal supervision, the specialist will develop and implement privacy policies, conduct assessments, and drive awareness across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update ZATCA’s data guides to align with National Data Management Office (NDMO) standards.
• Conduct assessments to identify data management needs, challenges, and improvement areas.
• Assist in developing data privacy policies, standards, and procedures based on best practices and international standards.
• Propose and monitor improvement plans, KPIs, and initiatives to protect ZATCA’s sensitive information.
• Communicate data policies and strategies to stakeholders to ensure understanding and engagement.
• Perform risk assessments, recommend corrective actions, and develop control measures.
• Design and deliver data privacy awareness programs.
• Manage implementation of privacy plans, track issues, and coordinate remedial actions with IT and other functions.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and relevant authorities.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional capable of operating with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy and protection principles, preferably aligned with NDMO requirements.
• Experience conducting assessments, risk analyses, and developing policy frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills to convey policies and engage stakeholders.
• Ability to design KPIs, monitor performance, and produce compliance reports.
