Director of Financial Accounting and Reporting

About the role

The Director of Financial Accounting and Reporting will lead the preparation and presentation of the organization’s financial statements and reports. This senior position oversees month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly and annual financial packages and statements.
• Supervise sub‑ledger processes for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets and bank reconciliation.
• Develop, prescribe and enforce accounting policies, principles and reporting procedures.
• Manage the full closing cycle, including journal entry recording, review and approval.
• Oversee internal and external audit inquiries and ensure timely responses.
• Lead, motivate and train a team of accountants, setting performance objectives and providing regular feedback.
• Implement and monitor financial systems and controls to guarantee accurate cost allocation.
• Ensure all business practices align with company standards and values.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience as indicated in the posting.
• Proven ability to manage and develop accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and audit processes.
