Director of Nursing

About the role

The Director of Nursing leads the Nursing Department of CARE Hospitals and Clinics, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, timely, and cost‑effective nursing care across the organization. Reporting to senior hospital leadership, the role combines strategic planning with day‑to‑day operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Set departmental goals, cascade objectives to nursing units, and monitor achievement through KPI tracking.
• Contribute to the hospital’s strategic objectives and participate in budgeting, planning, and multi‑disciplinary committees.
• Develop, review, and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and space planning to meet service demands.
• Lead the development of the nursing organizational structure, education programs, and performance management for direct reports.
• Collaborate with the Medical Director and Quality Director to maintain clinical standards and patient safety.
• Represent nursing staff in executive decision‑making and ensure alignment with the hospital’s vision and mission.
• Drive strategic planning, monitor implementation of committee recommendations, and address service shortages.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in nursing within a hospital or large healthcare facility.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams and drive performance improvement.
• Strong knowledge of nursing standards, accreditation requirements, and quality‑assurance processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Track record of developing staff through coaching, training, and career development.
