Director of Procurement

About the role

The Director of Procurement will lead the organisation’s sourcing strategy, ensuring cost efficiency, supply continuity and compliance with corporate objectives. This senior position reports to executive leadership and drives value through strategic supplier partnerships and risk‑based sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans.
• Translate corporate strategy into category‑level sourcing plans with measurable cost, risk and performance targets.
• Lead annual procurement planning, demand forecasting and capital sourcing in partnership with Finance and Operations.
• Oversee end‑to‑end strategic sourcing activities, including RFPs, RFQs, tender evaluations and commercial negotiations.
• Establish standardized contracting frameworks, SLAs and approve high‑value contracts.
• Design supplier segmentation models, performance scorecards and conduct regular supplier reviews.
• Drive cost‑optimization initiatives, total cost of ownership analysis and spend analytics.
• Ensure procurement governance, regulatory compliance and lead related audits.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Strong track record of delivering measurable cost savings while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Experience managing complex supplier relationships and high‑value contracts.
• Ability to assess market trends, commodity risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting results to executive teams.
