Director of Training Programs

About the role

The Director of Training Programs will support the General Manager in leading the school unit’s curriculum and instructional initiatives. This senior position is part of the Senior Management Team and focuses on designing, implementing and evaluating high‑quality training programs that meet educational standards and organizational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all training‑related activities across the school.
• Collaborate with curriculum specialists, business partners and principals to design new courses of study.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and staff performance.
• Oversee facilities, safety, conduct and overall student welfare.
• Monitor student progress and implement improvement strategies.
• Select, assign, supervise and assess certificated and classified employees.
• Develop and manage curriculum, interdisciplinary teams and shared‑decision‑making processes.
• Lead school restructuring initiatives and ensure sound fiscal practices.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities within a shared‑decision‑making model.
• Willingness to follow established guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Sound educational philosophy and instructional competence.
• Experience working in diverse settings and with school‑wide discipline programs.
• Ability to evaluate instructional processes and drive innovation.
• Knowledge of local laws, policies and procedures relevant to curriculum objectives.
• Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals.
• Effective presentation skills for administrators, staff and the public.
