Elementary EAL Teacher – Licensed Educator (Riyadh Resident)

About the role

The American International School – Riyadh is hiring a certified full‑time Elementary EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teacher for the 2026‑2027 academic year, starting 1 November 2026. The position requires delivering the school’s EAL curriculum, fostering language development, and supporting the holistic growth of elementary learners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging EAL lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and the Understanding by Design framework.
• Maintain effective classroom management, monitor student behavior, and keep accurate records.
• Assess student progress using clear criteria, analyze data, and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to enhance student learning.
• Organise and lead clubs or after‑school activities as part of the co‑curricular program.
• Participate in professional development, uphold safeguarding policies, and adhere to the school’s code of conduct.

Required profile

• Resident of Saudi Arabia under a spouse’s sponsorship.
• Professional teaching certification – Elementary School Licensed Educator.
• Minimum four‑year bachelor’s degree; master’s degree in Education preferred.
• At least two years of full‑time K‑12 teaching experience, preferably in EAL.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching English as an Additional Language.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
