Director - SME Sales Specialist

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director – SME Sales Specialist to lead growth initiatives for small‑and‑medium‑enterprise (SME) customers across Saudi Arabia. Based in a hybrid Riyadh/Jeddah setting, you will act as a trusted advisor, shaping strategy and delivering tailored payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SME growth strategies in partnership with the SME Head of Commercialization.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline, conducting on‑site client engagements, needs assessments, and solution positioning.
• Identify, originate, and convert new business opportunities, driving commercialization of signed deals.
• Contribute to SME P&L objectives and regional sales priorities aligned with Saudi Arabia business goals.
• Spot product, proposition, and innovation opportunities within SME payment segments.
• Provide advisory leadership, diagnosing client needs and guiding end‑to‑end execution across sales, product, and market teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team culture focused on accountability and collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales leadership experience, preferably in payments or financial services.
• Strategic, consultative mindset with strong execution discipline.
• Ability to operate as a credible advisor to both financial and non‑financial institution partners.
• Track record of delivering measurable revenue outcomes and meeting P&L targets.
