Document Control Manager

About the role

The Document Control Manager will lead document management for a major rail project, ensuring all documentation complies with project standards and client requirements. This role combines leadership, process improvement, and hands‑on administration of electronic and physical filing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce document control procedures, workflows, and standards for the rail project.
• Manage receipt, registration, numbering, distribution, tracking and filing of all project documents.
• Administer Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Coordinate review and approval workflows for drawings, specifications, technical submittals and reports.
• Prepare weekly and monthly document control reports and monitor KPIs.
• Lead a team of Document Controllers, allocate workloads and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10–15 years of document control experience, including at least 10 years in a managerial role on major rail or infrastructure projects.
