Drilling Rig Foreman

About the role

Eram Talent, a division of the ERAM Group, is looking for an experienced Drilling Rig Foreman to supervise field operations of land drilling and workover rigs carrying out programmed work on deep or critical wells. The foreman oversees a contract rig performing drilling or remedial work on wells ranging from 18,000 to 23,000 feet.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure rig personnel and service providers comply with client safety standards and requirements, including blowout prevention standards, equipment configuration, testing and crew response.
• Supervise and oversee all operations performed on wells.
• Recommend alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations arise.
• Coordinate delivery of materials to the well so they are available when needed.
• Make sure the contractor meets all contract requirements and approves the contractor's daily tour report.
• Work with drilling and workover engineers to follow modern drilling practices.
• Ensure rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.
• Perform other duties as directed by the superintendent.

Required profile

• Either 13 years of relevant experience in drilling and workover operations, including supervisory experience gained through progression on a rig, or a B.S. degree in Engineering with 7 years of experience in drilling and workover, including adequate supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in challenging conditions and remote locations.
• Proven problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
