Duty Manager

About the role

The Duty Manager acts as the Property Manager on Duty, overseeing all hotel operations to ensure the highest standards of hospitality and guest service. This role is the primary point of contact for guests and staff, handling issues, directing traffic in the lobby, and maintaining smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise property operations and guest relations, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
• Manage lobby flow, answer guest inquiries, and direct visitors to appropriate departments.
• Track and resolve service issues, acting as Guest Relations Manager.
• Prepare and distribute daily MOD reports to all departments.
• Enforce loss‑prevention policies and monitor staffing levels to meet service and financial goals.
• Review financial statements, sales reports, and performance data to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Intervene in guest or associate situations to protect property integrity and maintain satisfaction.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related area, OR an associate degree in Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 24 months of progressive experience in hotel operations.
