Electrical Engineer – Power & Desalination Plant

About the role
The Electrical Engineer will lead a team of maintenance foremen, technicians and support staff to ensure reliable electrical operations at a power and desalination plant. The role also supports major outage management through a gas‑turbine long‑term service agreement, aiming to meet safety, environmental, availability, reliability, efficiency and budget targets.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise electrical technicians and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, HSE and IMS procedures.
- Plan, execute and oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance using CMMS work orders.
- Document maintenance activities, produce reports and ensure all work is recorded in the CMMS.
- Coordinate major outage activities and gas‑turbine service agreements.
- Maintain equipment according to OEM manuals and best‑practice schedules.
- Monitor safety performance indicators and report unsafe conditions.
Required profile
- Valid driving licence (or ability to obtain one during probation).
- Experience supervising electrical maintenance teams.
- Familiarity with IMS, HSE procedures and Permit‑to‑Work systems.
- Ability to work in a plant environment and follow method statements and work instructions.
