Electrical Technician

About the role

Agility is looking for a dedicated and skilled Electrical Technician to join its team. The role is essential to keeping the electrical systems of the site running efficiently and safely. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, find the cause of a breakdown and fix it.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components for hazards, defects and compliance with codes.
• Advise management on hazardous equipment operations.
• Plan the layout and installation of wiring and fixtures according to job specifications and local codes.
• Maintain accurate records and files, prepare reports and manage supplies and equipment.
• Help during emergencies by operating floodlights, generators, flares and other necessary equipment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in electrical work.
• At least 5 years of experience as an electrician.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electrical tools and equipment, including measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with team members and management.
