Electrical Technician (Low Voltage)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Low Voltage Electrician to handle electrical installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building facilities and low‑voltage systems (below 500 V). The role involves working with wiring networks, lighting systems, distribution panels, and testing equipment in an operations and maintenance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low‑voltage electrical wiring networks.
• Install, maintain, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical accessories.
• Identify electrical faults and perform corrective maintenance.
• Inspect wiring, connections, panels, and equipment for safety and operational condition.
• Use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and correctly.
• Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities as assigned.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Report faults, safety concerns, and maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, certificate, or recognized vocational qualification in electricity or a related field.
• Practical knowledge of low‑voltage electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and accessories.
• Experience in building facilities, operations & maintenance, or facility management projects.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and identify faults.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and work under supervision.
• Willingness to complete a technical or electrical trade test.

Required skills

• Electrical troubleshooting and fault identification.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Familiarity with building facilities and O&M environments.
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance activities.
• Use of electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Reading electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Basic computer knowledge.
