Environmental Officer

About the role

The Environmental Officer will lead the implementation of environmental programs and sustainable development initiatives across projects, yards, and facilities. This role ensures compliance with environmental regulations, monitors impacts on natural resources, and drives continuous improvement in environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and support project HSE strategies.
• Identify, distribute, and promote information on sustainable development programs.
• Monitor operational impacts on air, water, land, noise, dust, and waste, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Conduct Environment Aspects and Impacts Analyses for all work sites.
• Provide adaptive management strategies to reduce environmental risks.
• Assist in preparing service proposals, tender documents, and project bids related to environment and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and legislative environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing environmental matters for projects or facilities.
• Strong understanding of sustainable development principles and environmental regulations.
• Ability to analyze environmental aspects and impacts and develop mitigation plans.
• Experience preparing environmental sections of tender and bid documents.
