Family Medicine Registrar

About the role

The Family Medicine Registrar will deliver comprehensive primary care to individuals and families across all ages, both in‑person and via telemedicine. The role focuses on preventive, acute and chronic care while supporting population health initiatives and value‑based care models.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough telehealth and face‑to‑face consultations, taking detailed histories and performing physical examinations.
• Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and arrange specialist referrals.
• Manage chronic disease follow‑up and preventive care according to clinical guidelines.
• Utilise video‑conferencing platforms to assess symptoms and provide virtual examinations.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists and nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Implement population health strategies, identify community health trends and promote health education.

Required profile

• Board‑certified in Family Medicine or equivalent residency training.
• Registered with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a wide range of medical conditions.
• Commitment to patient‑centered, value‑based care.

Required skills

• Proficiency with telemedicine platforms.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to navigate telehealth platforms for virtual appointments.
