Finance Assistant – Support Daily Financial Operations

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail‑oriented Finance Assistant to support daily financial and administrative activities. The role involves processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing while ensuring confidentiality and timeliness.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, payments and receipts.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and account reconciliations.
• Review financial information for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Monitor invoices, payments, expenses and outstanding balances.
• Prepare and update spreadsheets, financial reports and account summaries.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities and resolve discrepancies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning when required.
• Gather and organise documentation for audits and financial reviews.
• Enter and update data in accounting and finance systems.
• Communicate with internal teams, vendors and other stakeholders on finance‑related requests.

Required profile

• Previous experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable or accounts receivable.
• Relevant education or coursework in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work independently or collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Comfort with accounting software and financial management systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical and data‑entry abilities.
